First Announcement

Dear All,

The National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Global Threat Reduction Initiative is pleased to announce that we intend to hold the Second Mo-99 Topical Meeting, the week of April 1-5, 2013, in Chicago, Illinois, in cooperation with Argonne National Laboratory.

The planned schedule is as follows:

  • April 1: Registration and evening reception
  • April 2-4: Technical sessions
  • April 5: Optional tour of Argonne National Laboratory

This meeting will provide a venue for all entities and stakeholders involved in the production, distribution, and use of molybdenum-99 to present recent developments for the production of reliable supplies of this important medical isotope without the use of highly enriched uranium.

Please save these dates on your calendar and be on the lookout for further information from Argonne National Laboratory in the near future. We also ask that you please forward this information to your respective colleagues and stakeholders who would be interested to attend.

We look forward to your participation to help make this meeting a huge success.

Best Regards,
Parrish Staples
