GTRI seeking input on the Mo-99 Program
The NNSA’s Office of Global Threat Reduction (GTRI) is working to improve the reliability of domestic medical isotope supply by providing assistance to accelerate U.S. domestic commercial production of Mo-99 without the use of HEU. The American Medical Isotopes Production Act of 2012 requires the development of a Program Plan for this effort, which is to be updated on an annual basis.
In order to help maintain program effectiveness, input from the public will be solicited on an annual basis to aid in the further development of the Program Plan. An overview of the Mo-99 Program was presented at the 2014 Mo-99 Topical Meeting on June 26, 2014.
Comments on the Mo-99 Program are welcomed and can be submitted using the Call for Input Form. The form will close on July 31, 2014.
